Have faith in faith + update
So I was just talking to a friend and said, “I have faith in faith.” Not thinking much of it, but realizing the power in it. I truly want to spread the love of Christ to all those around me because, finding my faith in Him within the past few years has shaped my life in so many amazing ways. Has given me the courage to go out and do and be fearless. Knowing that if I make a mistake or do something just not quite right, it’s okay – that’s the point of living.
The reason I said what I did, have faith in faith, is that even if I fail to bring people closer to God, to their savior that I can at least pray that they find faith in something positive. That even if they don’t find the faith that I would love for them to experience that they can experience some kind, and that’s what I mean. Faith is a powerful thing. I looked up the definition and only 2 of the 5 given definition we’re religion based.
I don’t know if I’m making sense, or if I’m talking circles. What I’m saying is that I have faith that I can help people find faith in the positives in life. That I can help this generation rise up to a calling much greater than us and what we are doing now, as a whole. That we can turn away from the worldly poisons around us and turn towards positive, peaceful, hopeful, loving things.
Well, aside from that now seemingly pointless rant, here’s an much needed update of what’s been going on around SVCO. Last night, 4.23.13, I finally perfected my jeans. It took some studying of my process to figure out where I was going wrong. I checked and rechecked my pattern countless times to make sure it liked up and worked, it did, so where was I going wrong. Well…once that was realized BAM! Perfect, it was a sweet victory to say the least. Now I just need to find an effective means of putting in the rivets so they look good and come out consistent.
Along with that, my shirt are on point and I’m going to go get plaid shirting fabric tomorrow so I can knock out a few. Since I want to do them made to order, I think I’m just gonna post a picture of the raw fabric on my store and have the Small-Large options and which ever size it sells in, it will be sold out until I finish the shirt and see if I have material for another shirt. So that will definitely add to the unique quality of each shirt, and it will be made to order. Hopefully, I’ll have someone daring enough to purchase a shirt, so I can test those waters. If you are that brave soul, I promise you’ll be rewarded. If not, I’ll just make more stuff for me, haha.

Silna Viera Co. 2123 Jeans
I have finally, after many days of hard work, finished SVCO. first ever pair of 2123 jeans. It was quite a learning experience and it was such a fun process. It took me probably a total of 12 hours to complete but that’s because I have never done this before, the front of the jeans needed to be redone, and it was the learning process. The actually process isn’t that hard or time consuming.
Now that they’re finished, I need to make some small adjustments, so the next pair I make will be the make or break, but I think they should turn out just the way I want. Not that this pair is bad, at all, I actually surprised myself at how well they turned out, but the adjustments will just make the much better. I can’t wait to get started again, I would be working now, but it’s a hassle getting all set up and I think a mental break is needed. But I will be starting again soon.
Once I finish the second pair, get those worked out. I’m gonna take a break from jeans and try out my next project, plaid button downs. Oh yes, I am so excited. Oh, and once I get the pattern for my the 2123 jeans perfected, I’ll just have to figure out how to size up and such, but I made it this far I should be good!
I can’t wait to start selling these bad boys, gonna be so awesome.
Much needed update
Alright, so it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything so this is what’s been happening.
If you’ve been keeping up with facebook you know I’ve been teasing a lot about handcrafted stuff. I got a step machine and going to making handmade garments. Gasp! This is the first I’ve said that…well the machine part. I posted a picture of some embroidery I accomplished last night.
I’m not going to say just yet what I’m making first, but you will see soon enough. I just finished drafting up my very first ever pattern, it looks pretty solid, I’m just anxious to get going and work on construction of the garment. Buttt, it’s too late and I need to be up for work. And I have to iron the fabric, and cut it, and it’s just an ordeal.
Maybe once I get started I’ll share what I’ll be working on but until then, it shall remain a mystery…okay one hint. 5118.
Exist to Improve update.
Just wanted to post a little update, first about our Exist to Improve shirt, it’s expected to be here the 13th of this month, March. But we could have it sooner than that, because that’s what happened with the Rise & Fall shirts. Speaking of, we have a FEW smalls left, so if you’re a small guy (these shirts fit a little bigger than normal, I normally wear a medium but a small with these shirts) or if you’re a girl (these are unisex shirts).
And don’t forget, we always offer free shipping in the US, internationally has a small shipping fee.
Also, while we are working on new designs all the time, I think we’re gonna focus a bit on the cut and sew shirts, just to get those figured out, what we’re doing there, and so we can also focus on getting out and selling our shirts in person! Stay tuned for more!
Another new design, I’m on fire!
A few nights ago, I was writing in my notebook and I kept repeating a phrase and then a couple nights after this, I posted a facebook status using this phrase. At that moment, I realize how awesome, powerful, and bold of a shirt design it could be. A super simple, typographic design, big and bold, straight and to the point. I texted Sean and told him about it and he thought it was pretty sweet as well so last night I whipped it up.
This is what I love about the simple, typographic shirt designs, they’re easy and quick to finish! I didn’t want too much to the design, I wanted the phrase to be what this shirt was all about, I wanted it to be the feature, so it was easy for me to finish. It took me about an hour to get it how I wanted, the right look and color and I mocked it up and holy cow! Was I happy with this one! It’s so awesome and get across the point I want it to.
I’m really excited for you guys to see this design, but I have a favor to ask. Final shirt for ‘Rise’ now available for preorder!
So, as you can see, the final shirt design, Exist to Improve, in our inaugural ‘Rise Collection’ is done, revealed, and available for preorder! I was going to post an image of it in this post but then I thought, let’s make the go look and make the want to order it

‘Exist To Improve’ complete!
Finally, that design I started a few days ago is finished. After that 12.5 hour day, I worked on it on and off for the past few days, incorporating more elements into it that we wanted to use and such was trying to make something work but it looks better without, anywho, today, I finished it. And it looks so incredible, it’s by far one of my favorite designs. I even made it into an iPod wallpaper which I’m currently using 
I’m so stoked on it, I’m getting it quoted and going to try and get it here ASAP, I don’t think I’m going to show you guys what it looks like until it’s here…hmm, or maybe if you guys ask nicely!
Anyways, I’ve finally finished all the original ideas we had for our first collection, and no, we didn’t do one unified release but this was worked out for us and I think it worked out fine.
I can’t wait to tell you guys that this design is being shipped, cause it’s going to be amazing and you’re all gonna drool!
Design Record!
Pretty sure I set a record today for fastest complete design.
Sean has had this quote that we’ve been trying to use since we’ve spawn Viera from the past life of A&A. We both loved it and wanted to have a perfect design for it. It’s like, you have this idea that you love, and you can see something in your head but you can’t get it out of there and out into the world. So we had been brain storming and going back to it all the time.
I got home about 8:15 this morning and did my usually check of facebook, website, webstore, etc, etc. I’ve been perusing pinterest a lot lately for inspiration and advertising and such and what do you know, I was inspired. I got out my sketch book and got to work. I had it all laid out and roughed out in about an hour or so, got it into the computer and got to work. 12.5 hours later I’m mostly…done. I have one little area I want to try and fill in, or maybe I’ll leave it, yet to be determined. But this is the shortest amount of time it’s taken me to work on a design, and all in one day. It made me feel good and I’m really with how it turned out; definitely gonna be one of my favorite designs.
